What an amazing experience. What a pleasure to be working with such a lovely group of people. As the year draws to a close, I would like to wish all my clients and supporters a wonderful safe Festive Season. I look forward to working with many of you again in 2023.
MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL. The last week of November saw my final two events for 2022. I was pleased to be assisting the Australian Parliamentary Sports Club with their Festival Dinner in Canberra on Wednesday 23, where we heard inspiring Olympians and Paralympians speak about how being active in Sport helped them through some difficult times.
That was then followed by two days at Randwick Racecourse in Sydney assisting Interpoint Events with the Micromobility Expo, where guests enjoyed trying out all the latest e-bikes, e-scooters, and much more. A fun time had by all. Please get in touch if you need a hand with your event in 2023! It's a wrap.... another successful ProPrint Awards. Their biggest yet, with over 300 guests at The Shangri-La in Sydney. Congratulations to all the winners.
In September I assisted Anges Zalan, of Blue Mountains Events & Conferences with the Australian Bushfire Building Conference 2022. A great event with a spectacular view from the Fairmont Resort. July will see me busy working with MG Events monitoring the registration process for the Lendi Conference being held at the Gold Coast in October. They are expecting around 1000 delegates.
For more information on the conference, click here Great to have had the opportunity to help Interpoint Events with their organisation of the Brain Injury Conference 2022 at Sydney University's Abercrombie Building. Great facilities.
May has been busy. Two weeks in Adelaide assisting the Australian Power Institute with their Summer School and Early Career Retreat... so many wonderful women in the Power sector coming together to share their career journey. On returning from Adelaide I assisted the Blue Mountains Events & Conferences with the smooth running of the Asbestos Safety and Management Conference at Leura. June sees a new client and new adventures... soon to be working with MG Events.
With the WA borders open, it was great to be able to assist MECCA Concepts and the Australian Breastfeeding Association with their Professional Seminar Series in Sydney and Perth. Live events are now back, albeit with masks and restrictions (in Perth at least).

Unfortunately, as with many events scheduled for the first half of 2021, API have made the difficult decision to postpone the in-person PowerChem 2021 conference because of the uncertainty of Australian State border closures and COVID-19 outbreaks. Like most people, particularly those in the events industry, I will be pleased to see the end of 2020. With a vaccination on the way and Australia's Covid-19 numbers remaining relatively low, I am hoping that 2021 will bring back more in-person events.
Unlike previous years, my 2021 is still looking very quiet. I am currently only assisting the following clients (in a PCO capacity) with their events:
Please get in touch, I'm happy to assist. - ph: 0422 419 343 Great to be part of the PCOA20 Conference. First session of Day 2 was a great discussion about the future of event. Hybrid is likely to be here to stay, but in-person events need to be more about the 'experience' and not just the 'speaker content' so that people 'come back' to the room.
#PCOA20 It was so great to be 'back out there' assisting with two large in-person Awards nights. I lent a hand to Momentum Media who were running their inaugural "Australian Space Industry Awards" in Sydney then backed that up with a multi-venued/live streamed event for the "Australian Defence Industry Awards" in Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane. Well done to the Momentum Media events teams for the great effort juggling so many moving parts. Both were great nights. So great to run my first 'in-person' event since March. The EPIA plan on holding a follow up event in February 2021, so check back later for details.
