Having completed a three day ACCESS 2019 conference at Luna Park Sydney, it is time to reflect. A very successful event and a learning experience for me. When you have an audience with many wheelchair users and delegates with guide dogs, there are new event logistics that come in to play. For example, where is the closest green grass to toilet the dogs; are conference tables raised to at least 75cm so a wheelchair can fit under the table; how do you get multiple wheelchair users down the stairs in the event of an emergency; is the stage ramp at the right gradient; is the stage edge marked with white tape; can the AV team accommodate a hearing loop and live captioning? Despite having run events for many years, there are still things to learn. #ACCESS2019
